FireEye, which attributed the breach to “a nation with top-tier offensive capabilities,” but did not specify Russian involvement, said the hackers made off with some of the tools it uses to probe clients’ networks for weaknesses.
People familiar with the matter told The Post that the breach was the work of an outfit known as APT 29 or Cozy Bear, linked to Russia’s SVR foreign intelligence service.
