Mohamed al-Kuwaiti, head of UAE Government Cyber Security, told a panel in Dubai Cyber that attacks within his country alone have climbed 250% this year.
Phishing and ransomware attacks were becoming more complex and prevalent amid the COVID-19 pandemic, al-Kuwaiti said, and he named Iran as one of an array of actors behind the attacks.
