Vermont Commits $7M to Clean Up Data Breach

Vermont has agreed to pay as much as $7 million for identity theft protection after a glitch at the state’s Department of Labor exposed the personal information of thousands of Vermonters. So reports WCAX in Montpelier.

Gov. Phil Scott later said, “As soon as the person enrolls, the protection will be retroactive to the date of the breach.”
