Far-right Social Media Network Gab Confirms Data Breach

Gab, a right-wing social network that drew in users after Twitter banned former President Donald Trump, has acknowledged suffering a data breach. So Wired reports.

GabA group called Distributed Denial of Secrets claimed it has stolen more than 70 gigabytes of Gab data, amounting to more than 40 million posts.

The Wikileaks-style outfit has started sharing its trove with media outlets such as Wired, which reports that the breach apparently included “passwords and private communications.”
