The DOJ said in a statement that four-fifths of employees’ Microsoft email accounts in the four New York U.S. attorney offices were compromised, while overall, at least one employee’s account was breached in 27 U.S. Attorney offices nationwide.
The hacking campaign is thought to have taken place from May 7 to Dec. 27, 2020, shortly before the SolarWinds campaign was revealed in mid-December.
