While Amazon’s lawyer Thomas Berger said in a hearing that the company had “no guidance” about what changes it was supposed to make, a lawyer for Luxembourg’s privacy authority said that July’s decision, which remains confidential, “is very clear.”
Amazon is appealing the earlier decision, which hit the company with a record 746 million-euro fine for allegedly violating the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation, or GDPR.
