Scripps Health Warns More Patients One Year After Breach  

Scripps Health has been sending out notification letters to an additional round of patients regarding a ransomware attack that took place almost one year ago. So reports The San Diego Union-Tribune.

ScrippsThe breach notices came as a surprise to many, particularly because the nonprofit healthcare system already contacted 144,000 affected patients last year regarding the May 2021 data breach.

Scripps declined to say how many more patients were affected, but said in a statement that it had discovered, through a recently completed review of documents, that hackers stole “additional patient information.”
