Google Cloud VP and GM Sunil Potti said during a recent press briefing that security sets Google Cloud apart from its larger competitors and that the company’s recent acquisitions, such as a $5.4 deal for Mandiant, are “about ensuring that customers can leverage Google as a standalone security brand.”
Microsoft and Amazon Web Services handily lead Google in the public cloud market.
