Speaking at a Boston College cybersecurity conference, Wray said the FBI learned of the plan from an unnamed third party and tipped off Boston Children’s Hospital in summer 2020.
Wray said the effort blocked potentially “one of the most despicable cyberattacks I’ve seen.”
