The New York Democrat said at a press conference that he was urging the Federal Trade Commission “to ensure that companies do everything they can to protect consumer data” and the Department of Justice “to fully investigate and go after the hackers that aim to harm Americans.”
Schumer also indicated support for tougher requirements around data breach disclosure.
