Australia Faults Russia for Health Insurance Data Dump  

Australian officials have accused Russian hackers of stealing the personal data of 9.7 million current and former customers of Australia’s biggest health insurer, Medibank, and posting the information on the dark web. So reports NBC News.

russia 1020934 640smallAustralian Federal Police Commissioner Reece Kershaw said police would be talking with Russian law enforcement about the suspected cybercriminals, described as a loosely affiliated group that functions like a business.

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, a Medibank customer affected by the hack, said that “the nation where these attacks are coming from should also be held accountable.”
