Biden Policy Would Let U.S. Go On Offensive in Cybersecurity War  

A new policy poised for approval from President Joe Biden would mark a fresh milestone in the U.S. government’s efforts to defend companies from cyberattacks, including unprecedented abilities to strike out at threats. So reports Slate.

biden man 5862339 640The 35-page “National Cybersecurity Strategy” reportedly grants U.S. agencies the authority to hack into the networks of criminals and foreign governments to preempt or respond to attacks on American systems.

The policy, developed last year with oversight from senior White House officials, would also move from voluntary guidelines for U.S. corporations on cybersecurity to mandatory regulations.
