PayPal Credential-stuffing Attack Exposes 35,000 Accounts  

PayPal has divulged a credential-stuffing attack that exposed the personal data of almost 35,000 user accounts. So reports Dark Reading.

paypal 3384015 640shortData compromised in the December breach included Social Security numbers, tax identification numbers and birthdates, according to a breach disclosure.

Jason Kent, hacker in residence with Cequence Security, told Dark Reading that the credentials will probably be sold to another threat actor for follow-on attacks.
