Seiko Cites Ransomware Attack in July Data Breach  

Seiko has acknowledged that a ransomware attack was behind the Japanese watchmaking giant’s July data breach. So reports CPO Magazine.

seikoSeiko said that the previously confirmed breach exposed about “60,000 items of personal data,” including contact information for customers and job applicants but not credit card or bank account information.

Russian ransomware group BlackCat/ALPHV had already claimed responsibility for the attack, which purportedly involved 2 terabytes of stolen data.
