State Department Opens New Cybersecurity Bureau

The State Department has begun operating a new Bureau of Cyberspace and Digital Policy. So reports CNET.

Anthony BlinkenThe move restores an agency setup that had been in place before the Trump administration reorganized, folding a standalone cybersecurity office into an economic bureau.

First announced by Secretary of State Anthony Blinken in October, the new bureau will be led by high-ranking diplomat Jennifer Bachus as principal deputy assistant secretary.
