Speaking at the University of Michigan’s Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy, FBI Director Chris Wray warned that a Chinese government “that doesn’t share our values” has control over the popular video sharing app.
Wray cited worries about the Chinese’s government’s sway over TikTok’s recommendation algorithm, as well as data collection that could be used for spying.
