Employee Carelessness on the Rise, Research Suggests

Employees are less committed to best practices when it comes to cybersecurity despite heightened awareness from employers, according to information from SailPoint Technologies. So reports Security Boulevard.

The new data shows three-quarters of workers reuse passwords across personal and work accounts, compared to 56% of workers doing so in 2014. The study found 13% of employees would not immediately tell IT if they were hacked, or suspected they were hacked. Further, one-in-seven workers said they would be willing to sell their company's passwords for money.
