3.5 Million Cybersecurity Job Openings By 2012: Report

The global cybersecurity industry will have 3.5 million unfilled jobs by 2021, research firm Cybersecurity Ventures has predicted. So reports The Mercury News.

The cost of cybercrime is also projected to rise to $6 trillion a year worldwide by 2021 from $3 trillion in 2015. Kevin McDonald, chief operating officer and chief information security officer for cybersecurity vendor Alvaka Network, said 1.2 million to 1.5 million of those vacancies will be U.S. jobs.
