Capital One Suspect May Have Breached 30 Other Organizations

Federal prosecutors have indicated that Paige Thompson, the woman accused of hacking Capital One, potentially breached more than 30 additional organizations. So reports the Associated Press.

In a court filing, the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Seattle said ill-gotten data from more than 30 companies, schools and other groups was discovered on servers in Thompson’s bedroom. Prosecutors did not name the affected entities, but said “the government expects to add an additional charge against Thompson based upon each such theft of data, as the victims are identified and notified.”
