Anthem Settles States’ Cyber Probe for $39.5M

Anthem has said that it will pay $39.5 million to settle a group of state attorney generals’ investigation following a 2015 cyber attack. So reports the Associated Press.

AnthemThe health insurer said the probe was the last remaining inquiry into the attack, which affected 79 million people.

In 2018, Anthem agreed to pay $16 million to settle a U.S. Department of Health and Human Services investigation into possible violations of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act.
