Flipboard Reveals Nine-month Data Breach Exposing Passwords

Social news aggregator Flipboard has disclosed a nine-month breach of databases that store usernames, passwords and email addresses. So reports Engadget.

The company said it found in an investigation that the breach occurred between June 2, 2018 and March 23, 2019, plus April 21-22, 2019. The passwords were encrypted and not all users’ information was involved, Flipboard has reset passwords for all of its 145 million accounts, according to the company.
