The deal, which adds another $300 million investment to KKR’s initial $50 million stake in the startup, values the Tampa Bay, Fla-based outfit at $1 billion. KnowBe4 opened its doors in 2010 and says it helps organizations raise awareness to set up a “human firewall” against cyber attacks.
