U.S. Navy Names Cyber Chief After Tough Audit

The U.S. Navy has created a new position, chief information officer, following internal reviews this year that found substantial cybersecurity vulnerabilities. So reports NBC News.

Filling the role will be Aaron Weis, who previously worked as senior adviser to the Pentagon’s chief information officer. Weis is to lead a new 25-employee office focused on the Navy’s information security and digital strategy.
