Cybersecurity Giant Palo Alto Networks Admits Data Exposure

Palo Alto Networks has acknowledged a security incident exposing the data of some of its employees. So reports Business Insider.

The cybersecurity company confirmed that the personal data of seven current and former employees was “inadvertently” posted online by one of its third-party vendors.

Palo Alto Networks serves around 60,000 organizations in more than 150 countries and has a roughly $22 billion market cap. The company said in a statement: “We took immediate action to remove the data from public access and terminate the vendor relationship. We also promptly reported the incident to the appropriate authorities and to the impacted individuals.”
