Grindr Security Flaw Allowed Hacking with Just An Email Address

Grindr has closed up a security loophole that enabled anyone who knew a user’s email address to take control of that user’s account. So reports TechCrunch.

GrindrA French security researcher Wassime Bouimadaghene uncovered the weakness and tipped off the company to it, with help from fellow security maven Troy Hunt.

“We are grateful to the researcher who identified a vulnerability,” Rick Marini, chief operating officer at the LGBTQ dating and social networking app, told TechCrunch.
