Avast Sees Earnings Rise Thanks to Remote Work Shift

Cybersecurity firm Avast has announced a profit increase due to growing demand as the COVID-19 led to working from home. So reports Reuters.

AvastThe London-listed company posted “core” earnings of $495.5 million last year, a 2.6% rise, on revenue of $892.9 million, modestly beating analysts’ expectations on both fronts.

CEO Ondrej Vlcek said the shift to remote work helped the company boost its customer base by 7.9% in 2020 to 13.6 million.
