Russian Pleads Guilty to Failed Tesla Ransomware Attack

A Russian national has pleaded guilty to offering $1 million to a Tesla worker for a help with ransomware attack on the company’s Nevada battery plant. So reports Reuters.

tesla 1724773 1920Cybersecurity experts said that Egor Igorevich Kriuchkov, who entered the plea in federal court in Reno, took extraordinary risks in the case. He planned to steal Tesla secrets and threaten to release them unless Tesla paid a ransom. 

Kriuchkov’s public defender declined to comment.
