Half a Million LinkedIn Users’ Data is Hawked on Hacker Site

LinkedIn has confirmed that data scraped from about 500 million of its users’ profiles is included in a database listed for sale on a hacker website. So reports CNN.

linkedin 400850 640smallThe professional social media site, owned by Microsoft, said in a statement that the LinkedIn user data in the database was limited to details that users posted publicly in their profiles.

"This is not a LinkedIn data breach, and no private member account data from LinkedIn was included in what we’ve been able to review,” the statement reads.
