Fitbit, Apple User Data Exposed in Fitness Tracker Breach  

Data from users of Fitbit, Apple, and other fitness tracking devices has been exposed in an unsecured database containing more than 61 million records. So reports ZDNet.

wearables 2316471 640Cybersecurity researcher Jeremiah Fowler and researchers from WebPlanet, who discovered the database, said it belonged to GetHealth, which calls itself a “unified solution to access health and wellness data from hundreds of wearables, medical devices and apps.”

The researchers said the database included such information as user names, birthdates, weight, height, gender, and GPS logs.
