Domain Registrar Epik’s Data Breach Impacts 15 Million  

A leak by hacktivist collective Anonymous of data stolen from domain registrar Epik included more than 15 million email addresses, some belonging to people who weren’t Epik customers. So reports Ars Technica.

anonymous 2755365 640Epik—known for serving right-wing customers, including some that were kicked off mainstream platforms—confirmed an “unauthorized intrusion” took place.

Data breach watchdog HaveIBeenPwned’s founder, Troy Hunt, said that he is one of millions whose email addresses were exposed despite having “absolutely nothing to do with Epik.”
