UScellular Billing-system Hack Compromises Customer Data  

UScellular has begun notifying about 400 affected customers that a hack of the mobile carrier’s billing system in December 2021 resulted in a data breach. So reports Bleeping Computer.

USCellularUScellular, which describes itself as the fourth-largest U.S. wireless carrier, said it discovered on December 13 that an unauthorized party had gained access to its billing system.

The company said that information potentially exposed included names, addresses, PIN codes, and phone numbers as well as data about wireless service.
