News Corp. Suspects China Hacked Journalists' Email

News Corp. journalists have suffered an email account hack that the Rupert Murdoch-controlled company attributes to spying efforts by China. So reports The Guardian.

china 156219 640smallCertain people employed by The Wall Street Journal and The New York Post, along with other Murdoch outlets, were impacted by the breach.

Mandiant, enlisted after News Corp. found the incident on January 20, determined in an initial review that the hackers “are likely involved in espionage activities to collect intelligence to benefit China’s interests.”
