260,000 Attorney Discipline Records Posted After Data Breach  

A website has published confidential details about 260,000 attorney discipline cases in California and other jurisdictions, leading the State Bar of California to investigate a data breach. So reports the Los Angeles Times.

california 2798001 640 smallOfficials said the records spanned from case numbers, case types and file dates to witness names and had been removed within two days after being discovered by the bar association.

It wasn’t clear whether the breach was the result of a cyber attack, according to officials.
