FCC Adds Russia’s Kaspersky to List of National Security Threats  

The Federal Communications Commission, warning that Kaspersky Labs poses an “​​unacceptable risk to national security,” has added the Russia-based cybersecurity firm to a list of companies banned from receiving FCC funds. So reports Mashable.

KasperskyKaspersky becomes the only Russia-based company on the FCC’s so-called “covered list,” which consists of eight organizations including China-based Huawei.

Kaspersky has maintained that a federal 2017 ban that precipitated the FCC’s move was politically motivated and unconstitutional.
