Mailchimp Breach Fuels Cryptocurrency Phishing Onslaught

Email marketer Mailchimp has acknowledged a data breach, with hackers using the stolen information to target cryptocurrency service users with phishing emails. So reports The Verge.

MailchimpThe breach surfaced when cryptocurrency wallet maker Trezor announced that its users had received sophisticated phishing emails as a result of a compromise at Mailchimp.

Mailchimp has said that hackers viewed about 300 Mailchimp user accounts and exported “audience data” from 102 of those.
