Microsoft, Google See Cloud Sales Climb

Microsoft and Google each said during their quarterly earnings announcements that their cloud revenues grew as tech companies invest heavily in cloud security. So reports The Wall Street Journal.

Google search engine 76519 1920On the heels of Google parent Alphabet’s $5.4 billion deal for cybersecurity firm Mandiant, Google Cloud’s sales rose from $4 billion to $5.8 billion for a $931 million operating loss.

As the Journal reports, Microsoft’s overall cloud sales were $23.4 billion in the period, up 32%.
