Former Los Angeles Cybersecurity Official Sentenced to Prison

The former head of cybersecurity for the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (DWP) has been sentenced to four years in federal prison for lying to the FBI. So reports The Los Angeles Times.

jail 1287943 1280David Alexander was the DWP’s chief information security officer from May 2017 to February 2019 and then cyber risk officer through August 2019.

The 54-year-old was the second Los Angeles official sentenced in a federal corruption probe of the DWP.
