Technology Modernization Fund Tags $94.8M for Agencies

The board of the Technology Modernization Fund, a federal funding vehicle established under the Modernizing Government Technology Act of 2017, has designated $94.8 million for network security at three U.S. agencies. So reports FedScoop.

dollar 3706548 640smallThe U.S. Department of Agriculture gets $64 million to update its USDANet, the Department of Homeland Security nabs $26.9 million to revamp the Homeland Security Information Network and a Federal Trade Commission security operations center-as-a-service receives $3.9 million.

The investments go to projects that implement a zero-trust approach towards network security.
