49ers' Data Breach Affects 21,000 People  

 The NFL’s San Francisco 49ers have disclosed a data breach that involved the theft of names and Social Security numbers for almost 21,000 people. So reports CNET.

San Francisco 49ersIn a mandatory notice filed with the state of Maine, the organization said the breach was uncovered in August after happening in February.

The team said it has started contacting those affected to offer them free credit monitoring and identity theft protection.
