Patreon Reportedly Lays Off Entire Security Team  

Patreon has confirmed that it has laid off five people who worked on its security team and did not dispute that this constituted the entire team. So reports TechCrunch.

Patreon“So for better or worse, I and the rest of the Patreon Security Team are no longer with the company,” Emily Metcalfe, who’d been a senior security engineer at the funding platform for content creators, wrote on LinkedIn.

Patreon’s U.S. policy chief Ellen Satterwhite told Satterwhite that the company works with external vendors to “develop our security capabilities and conduct regular security assessments.”
