U.S. Bank Data Breach Affects Closed Credit Card Accounts  

U.S. Bank has contacted some of its customers about personal information that was accidentally provided to a third-party vendor, affecting customers with closed credit card accounts. So reports NBC News.

US BankAccording to disclosure posted on the California Attorney General’s website, the September 27 incident included names, Social Security numbers, closed account numbers and balance amounts.

A U.S. Bank spokesperson told NBC News that roughly 11,000 customers were impacted.
