Experian, T-Mobile Settle with 40 States Over Data Breaches  

Experian and T-Mobile have inked a pair of multistate settlements with 40 state attorneys general over data breaches. So reports Insurance Journal.

ExperianExperian has agreed to pay $12.67 million and T-Mobile $2.43 million over the September 2015 breach, which state attorneys general say affected more than 15 million people who filed credit applications with T-Mobile via Experian.

At the same time, Experian consented to pay another $1 million to settle a multistate probe into a 2012 data breach involving Experian-owned Experian Data Corp.
