LastPass Owner GoTo Says Customer Backups Stolen in Breach  

The parent company of password manager LastPass has acknowledged that a recent data breach involved the theft of customers’ encrypted backups. So reports The Verge.

lastpassGoTo, the company previously known as LogMeIn, said that a cybercriminal “exfiltrated encrypted backups from a third-party cloud storage service” and got hold of the encryption key for some of them.

GoTo originally disclosed “unusual activity” within its service on November 30, but has not said how many customers were affected.
