Vice Media Breach Exposes Social Security Numbers, Credit Cards  

Vice Media has revealed that a cyberattack exposed the sensitive information and financial data of more than 1,700 people. So reports The Record, a news site by cybersecurity firm Recorded Future.

Vice MediaIn two filings with Maine’s attorney general, Vice said it was notified in March 2022 of a cyberattack on its systems.

The media company said the breach affected 1,724 people and included Social Security numbers and financial account numbers, as well as credit and debit card numbers, security codes and passwords.
