TruthFinder, Instant Checkmate Breach Affects 20 million People  

PeopleConnect, which owns the TruthFinder and Instant Checkmate background check services, has acknowledged a data breach. So reports Bleeping Computer.

PeopleConnectThe confirmation came after an online forum user leaked the data for purportedly 20.2 million customers of the subscription-based services for a period ending April 16, 2019.

“​​We learned recently that a list, including name, email, telephone number in some instances, as well as securely encrypted passwords and expired and inactive password reset tokens, of TruthFinder subscribers was being discussed and made available in an online forum,” reads a data security incident by PeopleConnect.
