Community Health Systems Breach Affects One Million Patients  

Healthcare giant Community Health Systems has acknowledged a data breach that allowed hackers to access the protected health information of as many as one million patients. So reports TechCrunch.

Russian federation 38922 640smallCommunity Health Systems said in an SEC filing that the breach involved software company Fortra’s business file-transfer platform Go Anywhere MFT.

While Community Health Systems hasn’t yet specified the types of information stolen, the Russia-linked ransomware group Clop has claimed responsibility.
