Sandbox AQ CEO Jack Hidary said the startup’s software helps companies determine which parts of their systems need to be updated urgently to protect against the prospective rise of quantum computers, which could theoretically break through traditional encryption.
Investors in Sandbox AQ include ex-Google CEO Eric Schmidt, who also serves as the startup’s chairman, along with Breyer Capital, T. Rowe Price funds and Salesforce.com founder Marc Benioff’s TIME Ventures.
