The Associated Press has announced that phishing attacks recently targeted users of its popular AP Stylebook, a writing guide for journalists and editors, following a third-party data breach. So reports Infosecurity Magazine.
The AP said in a notification that an unauthorized party accessed its subscribers’ personal information after breaching an outside service provider, Stylebooks.com.
The information exposed may have included Social Security and tax identification numbers, the AP warned.
