Volkswagen Doubts Cyber Attack After IT Disruption

Volkswagen has said that outsider hackers probably were not to blame for a network outage that disrupted the automaker’s production in Germany. So reports Reuters.

vw 1665127 1920The company is quoted as saying, “According to current analyses, an external attack is unlikely to be the cause of the system malfunction.”

A spokesperson for Audi, a Volkswagen brand, confirmed to Reuters that it was affected too, while sibling brand Porsche AG declined to comment.
