Philadelphia Employee Health Data Exposed in Breach, City Says  

Philadelphia has revealed that a previously undisclosed cyberattack it suffered in May potentially allowed hackers to access the health data of city employees. So reports StateScoop.

philadelphia 1740685 640As well as diagnosis, treatment and other health data, the breach also affected Social Security numbers, birth dates, other personal information, the city said in an official notice.

According to the notice, a city investigation found that an unauthorized party may have accessed certain city email accounts between May 26 and July 28.
